Frankfurt Book Fair 2026 · 7–11 October
The Frankfurt Book Fair 2026 edition of the TURLA Matchmaking sessions took place at the Türkiye National Stand, coordinated by Introtema Agency. Run by the Association of Press and Publishing with the support of the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Culture and Tourism, TURLA (Turkish Literature Abroad) brought Turkish publishers to the table with publishers and agents from around the world.

A session for children’s books
One of the sessions was given over entirely to children’s books. International publishers browsed new titles from Turkish children’s publishers, with catalogues and finished copies changing hands across the table.
Turkish publishers had the chance to pitch their books directly to rights buyers, while buyers got a close look at titles that might suit their own lists. The session turned into a genuinely productive meeting point for Turkish children’s publishing.

Day two: nonfiction
The second day was devoted to nonfiction, with Turkish publishers introducing their latest titles to colleagues from abroad.
Conversations that began as an exchange of ideas soon turned to concrete rights opportunities.

Fruitful meetings, new connections
Both days proved genuinely fruitful. Publishers discovered new titles, swapped ideas and explored international rights opportunities together.
The connections made in Frankfurt lay the groundwork for new partnerships that will help Turkish books, and Turkish children’s books in particular, reach readers abroad.

Catalogues and Publishing in Türkiye
Throughout the meetings, publishers received TURLA’s 2026 catalogues along with Publishing in Türkiye, the magazine that introduces the Turkish publishing industry.
You can browse the catalogues on our Catalogues page and read the magazine on our Publishing in Türkiye page.
